After a shock defeat against Saudi Arabia, Argentina is trying its best to win the upcoming match against Mexico. The second match is extremely crucial for the two-time World Cup champions as it is almost like a do-or-die. If Lionel Scaloni’s squad isn’t able to beat their North American counterpart then it is almost goodbye for them.

In their first outing, Argentina’s squad wasn’t up to par, due to the fact that they were humiliated by a team who has rarely made any international strides. Off course, we can’t downplay Saudi Arabia, they played extremely well and deserved to win, and frankly, on the basis of their performance, Argentina deserved to lose.

But it looks like the La Albiceleste is adamant about not losing and keeps on winning from here on out. This is why Scaloni is going to make four changes and revamp the team as they duke it out against Mexico in the second match of Group C.

According to Diario deportivo OLE, Argentina’s premier sports newspaper, Manchester United defender, Lisandro Martinez might start as one of the starting 11, replacing Cristian Romero, who honestly had a lackluster performance in the first match.  Additionally, Papu Gomez might also be replaced by either Benefica’s Enzo Fernandez or Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister.

Enzo Fernandez

Marcos Acuna, who was thought to be the starting 11 in the first game as well might get his chance now along with Gonzalo Montiel. Both of them will replace Nicolas Tagliafico and Nahuel Molina.

Well, only time will tell if Argentina’s change might do the trick for them or not. The match will be played on November 26th at 10: 00 pm local time in Lusail Stadium.

Mexico’s predicted line-up against Argentina: (4-3-3): Ochoa; Sanchez, Montes, Moreno, Gallardo; Chavez, E Alvarez, Herrera; Lozano, Jimenez, Vega.
